Job summary

City of Austin’s AUS department seeks an Airport Financial Analyst Senior to coordinate accounting, budgets, grants, and complex financial models for the airport’s expansion program.

The role focuses on debt management, grant administration, and regulatory compliance, working with internal and external partners on forecasts, cash flow, and capital planning. On-site with travel as needed, salary $89,880.00–$115,100.00.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics and 5 years in a related field.
• Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• A five-year accounting degree or CPA designation may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and prepares reports, analyses, and models used in revenue and forecasts and budgets.
• Develops the airport’s operating or CIP budget.
• Performs budget analysis and monitors the budget with variance reporting.
• Prepares complex AUS financial analyses and reports from City and AUS systems.
• Develops debt analyses and debt service calculations with treasury input.
• Monitors FAA grants and prepares grant drawdowns and FAA reports.
• Leads reconciliations of general ledger and bank accounts and resolves discrepancies.
