Job summary

Cornerstone Concilium, Inc. seeks a Construction Inspector to support LAWA’s civil inspection program within the Capital Improvement Program.

The role involves inspecting bridge, roadway, and sewer/storm drain work across multiple projects, with strong emphasis on safety and compliance with LAWA and City standards. Candidates must have LADBS Deputy Licenses or equivalent, CAL-OSHA 30-hour training, and extensive experience in public works inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience performing inspection of Cal-Trans bridge, roadway, and structure projects or 10 years as a Superintendent on Cal-Trans projects.
• Minimum 10 years of public works field inspection experience with focus on heavy civil and roadway construction.
• Proven expertise in installation and inspection of sewer and storm drain systems, utility infrastructure, and traffic control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily inspection reports documenting observed construction activities, issues, deficiencies, and safety concerns.
• Assist in reviewing and approving Contractor’s monthly progress payments based on completed work and approved schedule of values.
• Collaborate within a large team of Inspectors to ensure quality and compliance across projects.
