Job summary

Air Force Test Center seeks a Supervisory Airfield Management Specialist to manage Edwards AFB airfield infrastructure and support DoD and NASA missions. You will lead airfield operations, ensure flight safety, and provide planning, coordination, and emergency response capabilities.

The role requires experience in airfield management, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance. Occasional travel may be required as part of mission support.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Airfield Management at DoD or equivalent.
• Must obtain flightline driver’s license within 60 days and maintain currency.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee Airfield Management activities.
• Develop and implement plans, policies, and procedures essential to flight safety and operations.
• Serve as Test Wing focal point ensuring airfields safely support all test and training missions.
• Coordinate with DoD, NASA, and civilian programs on airfield management matters.
• Supervise military and civilian staff and mentor personnel.
