Job summary

Bombardier in Canada seeks a Technical Expert in Engineering, Structures & Systems Design Integration to lead cross-functional teams ensuring compliant, manufacturable, and certifiable designs across the product lifecycle.

The role requires 15+ years in aerospace, expertise in structures/systems integration, and fluency in French and English. Expect hybrid work with a day shift and active involvement in certification strategies and DFMA practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 15+ years of aerospace engineering experience.
• Expertise in aircraft structures and/or systems integration, design for manufacturing and assembly.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5, ENOVIA, and MS Office; knowledge of NX and Teamcenter.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of conceptual layouts and integration solutions for structures and systems across the complete airframe.
• Define and manage interfaces, installation requirements, and system architecture to ensure compatibility and performance.
• Perform and lead trade studies and optimization activities (weight, cost, performance, manufacturability).
• Act as a focal point across stress, systems, interiors, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, mass properties, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Coordinate technical alignment with partners, suppliers, and other Bombardier engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members.
• Support verification & validation (V&V), test definition, and execution; ensure airworthiness, safety, and regulatory requirements.
