Job summary

Gulfstream Savannah seeks a Senior Aircraft Component Repair Technician for Structures to lead complex repairs of aircraft structures. You will interpret SRMs/AMMs, guide technicians, and ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced MRO setting.

The role demands expert structural knowledge, strong leadership, and mentoring capabilities across shifts, with travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
A&P license, FCC license, or NCATT cert preferred.
Able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering documents, CMP data, CBs, and ASCs.
6 years experience in sheetmetal and/or hydraulic overhaul or avionics/electrical repair; APU removal, installation, service.

Responsibilities

Mastery of advanced skills, procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment relevant to the role.
Perform, instruct, and oversee repair of mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, ensuring compliance with data and manuals.
Set up and operate test equipment for functional and operational tests of components.
Inspect detail parts for conformity with requirements.
Remove skins and related components on flight controls and secondary structures and reinstall parts.
Demonstrate mastery of repair techniques including troubleshooting, soldering, and protective coatings.
Demonstrate expertise in use and calibration of precision measuring tools.
Maintain FAA Repair Station paperwork and repair station requirements.
Manage workflow to ensure on-time delivery and high first-time quality.
Lay out and repair major/minor flight controls using advanced techniques.
