Job summary

Diaconia seeks a Senior Structures Engineer to deliver advanced engineering support for aircraft structural systems across development, procurement, sustainment, and modification efforts for military platforms.

You will oversee junior staff, enforce MIL-STD-882 and MIL-HDBK-516C based airworthiness criteria, and collaborate with program teams to ensure safety and mission readiness across life cycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge and recognized expertise in structures engineering to oversee and support the efforts of junior and journeyman personnel.
• Regulatory Compliance: Execute and uphold standards and policies including DoD, AF, and relevant engineering principles; apply MIL-HDBK-516C for airworthiness criteria.
• System Integrity Programs: Support System Integrity Programs incl. MECSIP, maintain CSI list, monitor airworthiness certification for mission partner aircraft.
• Requirements Translation: Assist in translating user requirements into weapon system requirements for design, development, testing, and evaluation.
• Technical Documentation: Produce and review ORD, SEPs, TEMPs.
