Job summary

Calista Corporation seeks an Aircraft Mechanic III Structures to assess aircraft damage, design repairs, and perform depot level structural work on fixed/rotary-wing components. The role requires advanced metalworking, proficiency with high-strength fasteners, and ability to train on depot-level processes.

You will inspect, fabricate, and install repairs while maintaining QA records and tool control, with emphasis on corrosion protection and weight and balance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant aircraft structural maintenance experience
• 5+ years of depot level structural maintenance experience
• FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant certification a plus
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
• Experience supporting DoD contracts
• Knowledge of depot level maintenance concepts and procedures

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess damage to aircraft structural components and formulate repair procedures.
• Remove and install close tolerance, high-strength fasteners in major structural components.
• Design structural repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatments.
• Perform weight and balance and control surface rigging per technical orders.
• Fabricate repair or replacement parts using jigs, fixtures, forms and molds.
• Operate and maintain automated maintenance systems and enter maintenance data.
• Maintain tool control and report missing or damaged tools.
• Follow safety policies and environmental regulations.
