Job summary

Yulista Contract Services LLC in Birmingham, AL seeks an Aircraft Structural Mechanic II to assess damage and draft repair procedures for structural and composite components. You will use advanced metalworking practices to form, cut, bend, and fasten parts to restore damaged structures in support of DoD contracts.

You will read engineering drawings, perform precise measurements, conduct weight and balance checks, and document maintenance actions per QA and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 5+ years depot level structural maintenance experience highly preferred.
• FAA Airplane and/or Powerplant certification a plus; ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
• DoD contract experience and knowledge of depot-level procedures are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect/assess damage to aircraft structural components and formulate repair procedures using technical data.
• Remove/install close tolerance, high-strength fasteners in major structural components.
• Advise on structural repair, modification, and corrosion protection to preserve strength and weight.
• Perform weight and balance checks and control surface rigging as per technical orders.
• Fabricate parts using jigs, fixtures, and metal forming techniques; document maintenance actions.
