Job summary

Chipton‑Ross Inc in Lake Charles, LA is seeking multiple SCA Aircraft Mechanic 3 contractors for a Lake Charles assignment. The position requires deep knowledge of aircraft mechanical troubleshooting, repair procedures, and the ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities include servicing flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and fuel systems; performing preflight, thru‑flight, and post‑flight inspections; maintaining and updating

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 10+ years relevant experience
• Ability to work in an approved environment during specified hours
• Willingness to travel as needed
• Ability to wear respirator or safety gear
• Ability to work in areas with height/space restrictions

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/repair aircraft mechanical components per procedures
• Read schematics, manuals and wiring diagrams
• Maintain and repair engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems
• Perform 100-hour, progressive, isochronal inspections
• Provide technical guidance to lower level technicians
• Update aircraft logs and records
• Support engineers and customers with technical issues
