Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III / Maintenance Control at NAS Lemoore to operate as a Safe-For-Flight (SFF) qualified mechanic, maintaining F/A-18 aircraft systems and components to ensure airworthiness. The role requires reading maintenance manuals, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Ten years of O-level aircraft system maintenance experience.
• Must complete SFF qualification syllabus within 30 days of employment.
• Shift work is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service F/A-18 aircraft systems/components according to publications and instructions.
• Diagnose malfunctions and restore equipment operation; evaluate performance and reliability.
• Work on all aircraft systems and support ground handling equipment as needed.

Education

Navy Aviation Class A School

Valid A&P license

High School graduate or equivalent
