Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Mechanic I Airframer (AM) NAMC at NAS Lemoore, CA. You will service, repair, and overhaul the F/A-18 airframe and hydraulic systems, reading manuals to determine repair methods and ensuring airworthiness.

Responsibilities include inspecting components, performing repairs, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate has 3 years of O-level aircraft maintenance experience and can obtain a Tier 3 security clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years O-level aircraft system maintenance experience.
• A&P License and/or Military rating required.
• Must complete CDI qualification syllabus and obtain CDI within 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service the F/A-18 airframe and hydraulic systems.
• Interpret manufacturer manuals to determine repair methods and install changes.
• Inspect airframe components for leaks, cracks, and damage; troubleshoot system issues.
