Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA seeks an Aircraft Materials & Processes Engineer 4 / Technical Specialist 2 to lead advanced metallic materials, chemical processing, coatings, and forming for G500/G600/G700/G800 programs.

You’ll serve as a technical authority, develop standards, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, and guide manufacturing improvements across metallic structures while balancing cost and schedule considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field.
• 10 years in a specific technical discipline or 15 years across disciplines with a bachelor.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or related field focusing on chemical processes and forming/fabrication of metallic aircraft structures.
• Experience with metallic forming and fabrication methods such as press, roll, stretch forming.
• Ability to coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to support programs and company objectives.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical authority for aerospace metallic materials, chemical processes, and forming and fabrication of aircraft structures.
• Develop test plans and revise Materials & Processes documentation, standards, and specifications.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and support program and company objectives.
• Evaluate forming and fabrication methods such as press forming, roll forming, stretch forming, and other metal manufacturing processes.
• Manage technical projects from planning through execution and closure; identify opportunities to improve processes.
