Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking an entry-level Aircraft Structural Design Engineer in Savannah, GA. You will help develop the structural definition of large-cabin aircraft and support new product development and improvements to the existing fleet.

With guidance from experienced engineers, you’ll learn to define airframe parts, integrate systems, and select materials, processes, and finishes while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; 0–18 months experience.
• Entry level with 0 to 18 months of experience.
• Experience creating 3D CAD models, drawings, or design projects via coursework, internships, or prior work.
• Fundamental engineering principles in mechanics, materials, manufacturing, and design problem-solving.
• Passion for engineering, product development, and aviation safety.
• Strong teamwork and clear communication across disciplines.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain structural definitions of aircraft parts and assemblies.
• Create and support 3D CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing definitions.
• Apply engineering knowledge to resolve routine structural design issues.
• Analyze results, identify discrepancies, and work toward corrective action.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program, supplier, and customer teams to complete designs.
• Participate in design reviews, build-support activities, and supplier coordination.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and recommendations.
• Document and manage engineering activities while meeting schedules.
