Job summary

Middle Georgia State University (MGA) Eastman Campus seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician III to inspect and maintain fleet aircraft, ensuring adherence to FAA standards and MGA policies.

The role emphasizes inspections, minor and major repairs, logbook entries, and inventory management, with duties performed primarily at MGA Eastman Campus. FAA-authorized credentials and a valid Georgia driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess an FAA approved Airframe or Powerplant certificate.
• Must possess a current FAA Inspection Authorization.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a Georgia driver’s license for the vehicle or equipment operated.
• Typically 1–2 years of related experience or completion of an apprenticeship/internship.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of fleet aircraft and scheduled/non-scheduled maintenance.
• Perform minor repairs/alterations and approve major repairs/alterations as required.
• Make proper logbook entries per FAA regulations and university standards.
