Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Conventional Machinist - Aircraft Component Repair Technician Senior for the Savannah facility. The role requires planning, layout, setup, and operation of conventional machines, plus training junior machinists.

First shift hours run Mon-Thur 6am-4:30pm with up to 25% travel. Candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED; machining technology is a plus and a minimum of seven years machining experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; machining tech a plus.
• Minimum 7 years machining experience.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and eng docs.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for operations and plan sequence of operations.
• Select proper tools and speeds/feeds for tasks.
• Inspect own work with precision measuring equipment.
• Lead and train junior machinists.
