Job summary

Gulfstream is seeking a Senior Aircraft Component Technician for Convential Machining at GAC Savannah. The role includes planning, setup, and operation of conventional machines, with emphasis on precision and conformance to specs.

The successful candidate will have strong blueprint-reading skills, 6+ years in related machining fields, and the ability to train junior machinists while working on diverse assemblies and components. First shift Mon-Thu 6am-4:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; A&P/FCC/NCATT preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, eng docs, CMP data, CBs and ASCs.
• 6 years in sheetmetal, hydraulics, avionics/electrical repair or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and plan operations; compute dimensions as needed.
• Determine cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for tasks.
• Perform complex machining and inspect conformance with specs.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and document results.
• Train junior machinists and provide technical guidance.
