Job summary

Supernal is seeking a Sr. Aircraft Layout & CAD Engineer to lead aircraft layout development, 3D CAD modeling, and vehicle integration studies for advanced air vehicle concepts. This on-site role supports design reviews and trades, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will translate engineering inputs into CAD geometry, ensure manufacturability, and collaborate with structural, propulsion, and systems teams to optimize integration. Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant aerospace experience.
• Experience developing aircraft layouts and 3D CAD models.
• Proficiency with CATIA v6 or similar 3D CAD software.
• Experience with aircraft configuration design and vehicle integration.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain aircraft layout models to support vehicle configuration studies and design reviews.
• Create 3D CAD layouts for aircraft level integration including lifting surfaces and major interfaces.
• Support packaging studies to evaluate component placement, clearances, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Document design assumptions, risks, and actions for engineering reviews.
