Job summary

LiquidPiston, Inc. seeks a Senior Aerospace Engineer / Aircraft CAD Integrator to own the top-level aircraft CAD model and oversee integration of structures, propulsion, avionics, and controls. You will drive cross-discipline collaboration to deliver a cohesive, buildable platform for VTOL and UAS programs.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, rapid iteration, and close work with technicians to move concepts to hardware and flight testing in a fast-paced R&D setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical/related field.
• 5+ years in aerospace, UAS/UAV, defense, or complex product development.
• Experience owning a top-level CAD model for a full aircraft or major system.
• Strong CAD tool proficiency and large-assembly management.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerancing, and design for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the top-level aircraft CAD model and ensure integration of subsystems.
• Coordinate CAD inputs across engineers, vendors, and partners.
• Resolve geometry and interface issues to keep a build-ready model.
• Support prototyping, testing, and flight-test iterations.
• Document interfaces, design rationale, and CAD structure.
