Job summary

AAR is seeking an experienced aerospace electrical engineer to design and analyze electrical systems for aircraft interior modifications and avionics upgrades. The role involves preparing engineering reports, EA’s, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings, with STC project work as a core component.

Candidates should have a BS in Engineering and experience with Airbus/Boeing fleets, plus strong knowledge of wiring diagrams and ability to read technical drawings. On-site Indianapolis location.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical) or extensive experience in their area of expertise.
• 5 years minimum preferred experience in aerospace or related field.
• Experience with Airbus or Boeing fleets.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with STC process.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical systems and components for aircraft interior modifications and avionics upgrades (STC projects).
• Prepare electrical engineering reports, EA’s and drawings including wiring installation and routing.
• Develop cabin electrical modification/installation work instructions and procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers on electrical aspects of schedules.
• Troubleshoot aircraft electrical issues during STC prototype and post STC.
• Collaborate with FAA DAR’s and DER’s as needed.
