Job summary

AAR Corp is seeking a Sr Engineer, Electrical to design and analyze electrical systems for aircraft interior modifications and avionics upgrades. You will prepare wiring diagrams, installation drawings, and engineering reports, and coordinate with FAA DAR/DER teams. Travel is required about 10% for reviews and inspections.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering and hands-on experience with Airbus or Boeing fleets, and proficiency with AutoCAD for detailed engineering work.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or equivalent experience in their area of expertise.
• Experience with Airbus or Boeing aircraft fleets is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings from major manufacturers.
• Experience creating engineering details and installation drawings in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical systems for aircraft interior modifications and STC upgrades.
• Prepare electrical reports, EA's, and installation drawings.
• Develop cabin electrical modification instructions and procedures.
• Participate in customer design reviews and presentations.
• Coordinate electrical aspects of project schedules with PMs and DERs.
