A Sr. Electrical Engineer position at Ampstek focuses on ensuring electrical wire harness and components integrate with Electrical Aircraft Integration.

You will develop test plans, reports, and substantiation for cabin safety, coordinating with suppliers and DERs as needed. Ideal candidates have aerospace/electrical engineering backgrounds, 4–7 years of experience, and familiarity with Airbus/Boeing substantiation processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in aerospace or electrical engineering strongly preferred.
• 4–7 years overall work experience in an engineering role.
• Must have knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
• Proficient with MS Office programs.

• Develop electrical test plans, checklists, and inspection plans.
• ELA, EWIS, ESHA substantiation work.
• Develop electrical descriptions and substantiation reports and test plans/reports for aircraft cabin safety.
• Draft presentations for meetings and manage small STC/PMA projects, including supplier data deliverables and DER coordination.
• Support certification and regulatory agency interactions.
• Interface with airline customers during flight tests and in test labs/jigs.

The Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring electrical wire harness and

components integration with Electrical Aircraft Integration

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical test plans, checklists, inspection plans
• ELA, EWIS, ESHA
• Develop Electrical description and substantiation reports and test plans / reports for aircraft cabin safety.
• Draft presentations for all meetings and manage small STC / PMA projects for electrical requirements including data deliverables from suppliers, and coordinating responses to inquiries, significant issues and airworthiness concerns with DER would be plus
• Support the relationship with certification and regulatory agencies
• Interface with airline customers in troubleshooting at flight test/at test labs/jigs

Qualifications

• B.S. in aerospace or electrical engineering or related scientific field strongly preferred.
• Four (4) to seven (7) years overall work experience in an engineering role.
• Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements.
• Must possess some knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques of Airbus and Boeing a/c
• Must have strong computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with MS Office programs.
• Must be familiar with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods and aerospace hardware.
• Must be organized and an effective individual contributor, presenting good communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required Experience (Mandatory)

• Must have experience in Electrical Description and Substantiation Reports, ELA,
• Must have AutoCAD or Draftsight tools experience

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of aircraft cabin interiors.
• Experience as a design engineer or substantiation engineer.
• Working Knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification
