Job summary

The Boeing Company in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Experienced Aircraft Composite Fabrication Specialist to join our Manufacturing Center Back Shop team. You will fabricate and repair complex composite parts and assemblies, read drawings and lay out tooling, and maintain production equipment to meet schedule demands.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in aerospace composite repair, problem-solving with aerospace publications, and the ability to work variable shifts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an aircraft composite repair role.
• 5+ years of experience with mechanical composite components troubleshooting and repair procedures.
• 5+ years of experience in aircraft structural modifications.
• 5+ years of experience with aerospace technical publications.
• 5+ years of experience prioritizing workloads to meet schedules.
• Ability to work variable shifts (overtime; weekends/holidays) to support needs.

Responsibilities

• Repair, fabricate composite parts and assemblies.
• Fabricate, construct, alter, repair and maintain tooling, dies, jigs, fixtures and assemblies.
• Perform first level fabrication, tool maintenance and storage of tooling.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, specs and templates.
• Operate manual and powered machines.
• Form bends and shape parts per requirements.
• Fabricate and repair aircraft components (leading edges, flaps, skins).
• Perform scarfing, forming, punching and shaping operations.
• Set up, align and hand form to tolerances.
• Follow standard procedures and safety rules.
