Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join the ATS Air Traffic Control team in Marlborough, MA, with flexibility for Omaha, NE. The role involves directing software teams, performing system analyses, and supporting next-generation weather solutions replacing aging FAA systems.

You will engage in requirements derivation, verification, and validation, plus documentation and test planning. Domestic travel is required, and US citizenship or clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.

Responsibilities

• Perform networking and integration activities to support development, maintenance, and deployment of the system.
• Manage and/or generate systems engineering documentation (design memos, specifications, diagrams, ICDs, test requirements/plans).
• Perform data analysis and develop analysis tools.
• Make informed technical decisions to drive project success and support decision making.
• Perform trade studies and recommend technology insertions to meet capability advances.
• Support planning, execution and documentation of formal qualification tests.
• Estimate engineering effort for tasks and projects.
• Assist other engineering staff with system engineering issues.
