Job summary

Tetra Tech in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Air Quality Engineer/Consultant with deep expertise in air quality permitting, regulatory strategy, and industrial process optimization. This hybrid role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on project delivery, leading technical teams, managing client relationships, and guiding PSD and Title V permitting for industrial and energy clients.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in air quality and sustainability, ideally within the energy sector.
• PSD and Title V air permitting experience.
• Industrial air quality regulatory frameworks and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Strong leadership, business development, and client-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee air quality advisory and permitting projects, including PSD and Title V.
• Provide strategic direction and grow the air quality and sustainability practice.
• Manage client accounts and cross-disciplinary teams across industrial and energy sectors.
• Develop regulatory strategies and compliance solutions for clients.
