Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Senior Equipment Specialist to serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert supporting Air Force weapon systems and related equipment, ensuring combat effectiveness and operational readiness.

This role requires an active Secret clearance, US citizenship, and the ability to conduct complex technical analyses, troubleshoot malfunctions, provide corrective-action recommendations, and mentor IPTs and technicians across program offices.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required for access to sensitive data.
• Experience with DoD programs and acquisition processes.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and IPTs.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical advisory support to senior leaders and maintenance personnel.
• Conduct complex analyses of aircraft systems and malfunctions.
• Develop corrective action recommendations with Air Force-wide implications.
• Coordinate with prime contractors, subcontractors, and government staff.
• Mentor junior personnel and oversee technical discipline teams.
• Support trial installations, kit proofs, and data verification activities.
