Axon seeks a Platform Firmware engineer in Seattle, WA or Scottsdale, AZ to design and develop firmware for AIoT across SoCs and modules. You’ll work on Linux/RTOS, embedded Android, and battery/power management, with a focus on safety and performance. You’ll mentor peers and collaborate across distributed teams.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted development, code reviews, design docs, and a test‑first mindset, with a path to leadership within firmware teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 8–14 years of real-world firmware or embedded experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Rust, Golang or Python.

Responsibilities

• Firmware design and development for AIoT infrastructure across platforms.
• Develop BF for SoC/SoM, microcontrollers, and RF technologies.
• Support hardware bring-up, design docs and documentation.
• Collaborate with multiple teams including SoC vendors.
• Mentor engineers in AI-assisted firmware development and best practices.
