Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Senior Engineer focused on AI Voice Agents to design, build, and deploy voice-enabled AI solutions for automated customer service and retail journeys.

The role emphasizes production-grade development, collaboration with product/architecture teams, and ownership from requirements to production support. Hybrid Chicago-based position with strong emphasis on secure, scalable APIs and performance testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field of study.
• Senior-level backend software engineering experience with production-quality services, conversational AI systems, and cloud-native apps.
• Proficiency in Python, conversational and voice AI, LangChain or LangGraph, and AWS cloud development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy voice AI agents and agentic workflows using Python and LangChain/LangGraph.
• Build conversational workflows managing customer intent, multi-turn context, tool execution, rules, fallback, and handoff.
• Integrate speech recognition, speech synthesis, streaming interfaces, and contact center platforms to reduce latency.
