Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale is seeking a Systems Engineer (Senior/Staff) to own the validation strategy for the Wayve AI Driver across multiple autonomy products, from strategy to implementation and execution. You will enable seamless integration of the AI Driver across product teams and help reach millions of customers globally.

Essential qualifications include 5+ years in autonomous driving or robotics, advanced degrees in CS/Robotics/Aerospace, strong Python skills, and experience with both simulated

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automated driving, robotics, or related product.
• Degree in CS/Robotics/Aerospace or related field.
• Proficient in Python for metrics and evaluation code.
• Deep understanding of driving behavior and performance measurement.
• Experience with simulated and physical testing environments.
• Experience analyzing and reporting validation results.
• Proven ownership from ideation to implementation in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a validation strategy across test modalities.
• Define metrics and test coverage for on-road and simulation.
• Collaborate with Product, Safety, and AV Engineering for criteria.
• Analyze results and report findings to stakeholders.
• Identify data, simulation, and evaluation dependencies for scalable validation.
