Job summary

Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) seeks a Principal Engagement Manager to lead large healthcare and life sciences transformation programs. You will orchestrate 50+ person teams and deliver AI, data, and modernization outcomes for top customers.

You will align executives, manage risks, and drive AI‑native delivery while maintaining program financial health and governance across multiple stakeholders and partners in a national on‑site/remote hybrid model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of technology transformation program management, with 5+ years leading multi-workstream delivery programs ($10M+/year) end-to-end.
• 3+ years experience in healthcare and/or life sciences.
• Experience with fixed-price, milestone-based delivery models.
• Experience adopting and championing emerging delivery methodologies and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Build and nurture trusted executive relationships (VP+), delivering strategic counsel on program direction, health, risks, and trade‑offs.
• Proactively manage interdependencies, mitigate risks, and drive accountability for program outcomes.
• Orchestrate across customer lines of business, IT, and partner teams, aligning priorities, timelines, and success definitions.
• Define and track measurable customer outcomes and translate progress into executive-ready ROI narratives.
• Own the program financial health, including forecasting, revenue recognition, change requests, and scope management.
• Influence AI governance, guardrails, and operating models for AI‑augmented delivery.
• Drive adoption of AI‑DLC methodologies across programs to scale delivery productivity.
• Establish governance for agentic AI including observability, cost controls, and compliance with HIPAA/GxP.
• Surface ideas to innovate and accelerate outcomes for customers.
