Job summary

Payscale is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI Transformation team. You will work across the stack—front-end interfaces, back-end services, and agentic AI systems—delivering secure, scalable AI-powered solutions for internal teams.

You’ll partner with stakeholders to prototype rapidly and build a self-serve platform enabling broad organization-wide adoption. You’ll own end-to-end development, CI/CD, and production readiness, emphasizing speed, quality, and token-efficient agentic

Qualifications

• 5+ years building backend systems with Node.js and TypeScript.
• 5+ years using React and modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong understanding of data model architecture and access patterns for data-intensive apps.
• Solid experience with relational databases and complex schemas.
• Comfortable working in mixed environments with established products plus new services.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered applications end-to-end from design to deployment.
• Own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production readiness.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces with React and REST APIs with Node.js/TypeScript.
• Architect data models and integrate with data-processing services and relational databases.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to prototype and deliver quickly.
