Job summary

Aechelon Technology, a Shield AI company, seeks a Senior AI Enablement Software Engineer to design AI tools and infrastructure for real-time graphics and AI workflows. You’ll enable software teams with locally hosted models, reusable skills, and integrations, mentoring teams on responsible AI use.

You will collaborate with infra and security on deployment, data handling, governance, and handoffs for operational support, building documentation and training materials for users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing production software, developer tools, libraries, services, or APIs used by other teams.
• Experience with Python and C++ codebases.
• Experience integrating generative AI into applications and workflows.
• Experience running or integrating models in local or private environments.
• Understanding of dataset prep, model evaluation, and AI output limitations.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux development environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to explain AI capabilities and limitations to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI tools, services, reusable skills, agent tools, and developer infrastructure.
• Evaluate, deploy, and optimize locally hosted models on workstations and internal systems.
• Connect models with source repos, docs, build systems, issue trackers, and internal tools.
• Build workflows and curate datasets for training and fine-tuning models using internal docs.
• Collaborate with software teams to turn prototypes into supported capabilities.
• Develop practices for model config, skill development, prompt management, evaluation, and versioning.
