Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant professional experience in software engineering or related technical disciplines.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, Python and cloud-native development (AWS preferred).
• Experience with generative AI technologies, LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG architectures, or related AI platform capabilities.
• Ability to influence technical direction and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and support scalable AI-driven applications and platform capabilities.
• Architect and integrate solutions leveraging AWS Bedrock, LLMs, and multi-model ecosystems.
• Evaluate architectures and advise on build-vs-buy decisions.
• Develop, test, deploy, and monitor production-ready software with reliability and security.
• Lead design and code reviews, testing, and architectural discussions.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across all environments; provide production support as needed.
• Promote software engineering best practices, AI governance, and secure development.
• Mentor engineers and foster continuous learning across the team.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and engineering stakeholders to shape solutions.
• Stay current on AI trends and opportunities to enhance Vanguard’s capabilities.
