Job summary

Vanguard in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced AWS Cloud Architect/Engineer to design, develop, and operate cloud-native AI-enabled solutions. You will implement IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation, build reusable platform services, and collaborate across product and engineering teams in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include designing scalable cloud architectures, integrating AI capabilities with enterprise platforms, and ensuring security and governance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience.
• Five or more years of experience designing and developing solutions on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, containerization, and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience building Generative AI applications using AWS Bedrock, LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures.
• Experience integrating cloud and AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, and data platforms.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor applications, resolve production issues, and implement continuous improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.

• Experience with vector databases, knowledge retrieval systems, and advanced RAG implementations.
• Experience leveraging AWS Bedrock-hosted foundation models and AI-assisted development tools.
• Exposure to marketing technology platforms, customer engagement solutions, or digital experience ecosystems.
