Job summary

Lunar Outpost is seeking a Senior Assembly, Integration, and Test Engineer to support the AI&T team on the LTVS program, planning and executing test campaigns across components, subsystems, and vehicle platforms.

You will lead qualification campaigns, develop test plans, and contribute expert input to schedules, budgets, and campaigns while ensuring timely execution and high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical, mechanical engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years developing and executing test/qualification campaigns for NASA Class A or human-rated vehicles.
• Experience as systems engineer in a cislunar or lunar spaceflight mission.
• Proven experience leading and executing engineering test efforts to support verification and validation.
• Familiarity with NASA AI&T standards (e.g. SMC-S-016, NASA-STD-8739).
• Clear understanding of NASA verification and validation processes.
• Strong test documentation writing skills (test plans, procedures, reports).
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes and best practices.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and Project.
• Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, refine, and map test requirements to test plans and procedures and their reports.
• Plan and execute component, subassembly, and subsystem qualification campaigns.
• Lead efforts to design, build, and test dedicated vehicle test platforms and prototypes.
• Lead development of qualification and test campaign schedules and execute campaigns on schedule.
• Write test procedures and processes to support qualification at component, subsystem, and vehicle level.
• Provide expert inputs to program schedules and budgets and regular status updates on campaign execution.
