Job summary

EY is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to own the stateful backbone of EY’s AI-native platform, including data stores, memory tiers, and event streaming across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped environments.

This role focuses on durable, scalable state, multi-tenant isolation, and reliable data movement with schema governance, enabling governance, observability and AI knowledge capabilities for regulated client contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years operating production data infrastructure at scale.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL and caching with HA, replication, backup/recovery.
• Exposure to AI/ML data patterns and vector/graph databases.
• Experience with Kafka, NATS, Debezium and stream processing.
• Experience running stateful systems on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own memory and data stores across environments for durable state.
• Own streaming and async messaging and change-data capture pipelines.
• Ensure durability, consistency, and recoverability across environments.
• Build streaming pipelines with schema governance and evolution.
• Maintain multi-tenant isolation and portability of state.
• Provide data and lineage substrate for governance and observability.
