Job summary

EY is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to own the stateful backbone of EY’s AI-native platform, including data stores, memory tiers, and streaming systems across cloud, on‑prem, edge, and air-gapped environments.

The role combines database ops with high‑throughput streaming and durability‑first mindset, ensuring consistent semantics and tenant isolation in regulated client contexts. Hybrid cloud and OSS options are available.

Responsibilities

• Own memory and data stores across environments (PostgreSQL, Redis, vector/graph stores).
• Own event streaming and async messaging pipelines (Kafka, NATS, Debezium, Flink).
• Ensure data durability, consistency, and recoverability (backup, PITR, cross-env data movement).
• Build CDC pipelines with schema governance to prevent breaking changes.
• Make state multi-tenant and portable across cloud and on‑prem/air-gapped setups.
• Provide data lineage/substrate for governance and observability.
