Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is seeking a skilled software engineer to advance our AI-driven member experience platform. The role focuses on designing multi-agent orchestration, context management, and safety layers to power a scalable, compliant AI assistant for healthcare benefits.

You will work with LangGraph, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Search to integrate diverse agents, manage state, and improve clinical decision aid workflows with production-ready systems and robust evaluation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years of experience in software engineering.
2-3 years building and operating production LLM or agentic AI systems.
Experience with LangGraph, AutoGen, or custom graph-based orchestration in production.
Experience in healthcare, insurance, fintech, or legal AI domains.
Strong knowledge of Python and Azure stack.

Responsibilities

Design and build multi-agent orchestration for intent classification and routing.
Define agent integration contracts with input/output schemas and latency SLAs.
Manage context across turns and ensure safety and PHI handling.
Develop RAG pipelines for policy content retrieval and documentation needs.
Define prompt architecture with versioning and testability.
