Job summary

Capital One is seeking an experienced AI Engineer 5 (MLX) to design, develop, test, and deploy AI software across an integrated platform. You will work across foundation model training, LLM inference, agents and multi-agent workflows, and governance.

You will leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch, optimizing performance, latency, and cost for scalable production AI systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, AI, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related fields.
• 6+ years developing AI/ML algorithms or technologies.
• Proficient in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA or Java.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components including training, inference, agents, and workflows.
• Lead multi-model orchestration pipelines integrating LLMs, vector search, and domain models.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to long-term AI systems roadmaps.
