Standard Bots in New York City seeks a seasoned software engineer to join our AI team and build the systems our models depend on. You will own data ingestion, training/inference infrastructure, and the perception pipeline that connects cameras to the robot, delivering customer-facing features.

The role is broad by design in a small team, allowing you to move from data pipelines to calibration bugs or a new API in the same month, with ownership and fast iteration.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in complex environments, with a strong software engineering background.
• Experience in ML/AI-adjacent domains such as ML Ops, data pipelines, or computer vision is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a bias toward practical execution.

Responsibilities

• Identify, scope, and drive high-impact technical and user-facing projects across the AI team's stack.
• Ship product surfaces that expose AI capabilities to users via applications and APIs.
• Mentor and advise other engineers on technical and personal growth.
• Drive technical decisions through hands-on and deep engineering work.
