Job summary

GSA's Technology Transformation Services seeks a Principal AI Software Engineer to devise enterprise AI strategies and secure architectures for federal agencies. You will lead cross-agency AI engineering projects, drive secure cloud-native solutions, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards across platforms.

You will help shape IT policies and guide system integration while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable, trustworthy AI for public service.

Qualifications

• Nine competencies required for GS-15 level, including attention to detail and customer service.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience leading enterprise IT modernization and AI-enabled systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert shaping enterprise AI engineering strategies.
• Lead cross-agency AI projects involving data platforms and secure computing.
• Oversee integration of AI systems across cloud and legacy infrastructures.
• Formulate IT policies, procedures, and guidance for agency IT systems.
• Ensure compliance with federal mandates and cybersecurity standards.
• Coordinate engineering efforts and ensure interoperable, high-performance solutions.
