Job summary

General Services Administration (GSA) seeks an AI Software Engineer to establish technical strategies and architectures for secure, ethical AI adoption across federal agencies. The role focuses on enterprise-wide engineering guidance, cloud-native platforms, and compliance with federal mandates.

The position requires IT leadership, collaboration with stakeholders, and the ability to influence national AI policy while supporting mission-critical programs across government agencies.

Qualifications

• To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
• Specialized experience includes agile teams, digital product development, cloud-native architectures, and information security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a principal technical expert for enterprise-wide engineering strategies for AI-enabled systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Provide technical guidance for development and management of AI-enabled systems and government-wide platforms.
• Consult with stakeholders to shape national and international AI and digital policies.
• Advise agency personnel on efficiency and effectiveness of mission-critical programs and technologies.
• Formulate implementation strategies and policy guidance for agency-wide applications.
