Job summary

Miami University is seeking a Senior AI Solutions Engineer to advance the practical adoption of artificial intelligence across campus. You will connect institutional needs with AI services, technical teams, and partners, balancing technical execution with governance and guidance.

You will design and operate shared AI capabilities, guide units from ideas through pilots to sustainable solutions, and establish patterns that scale AI services securely and effectively across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree by date of hire and 6+ years of related professional technical experience.
• Or Master’s degree by date of hire AND 4+ years of related professional technical experience.
• Experience may come from roles such as senior business analyst, technical lead, solutions architect, or similar positions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, rollout, and continuous improvement of shared University AI services within ITS.
• Serve as a consultative entry point for units exploring AI-enabled solutions and assess feasibility and risk.
• Prototype and integrate AI-enabled solutions and coordinate pilots toward stable services.
• Partner with information security, legal, procurement, and data governance to translate requirements into controls.
• Develop reusable processes, service definitions, intake processes, and guardrails for AI use cases.
• Collaborate with campus partners to support coordinated AI adoption and communities of practice.
