Job summary

EY’s Government & Public Sector practice seeks an AI Solution Development Manager to lead the technical delivery of AI‑enabled solutions for government clients. You will guide teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement while translating business needs into working technology.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to obtain and maintain a secret level clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 6–8+ years of related professional experience.
• Comfortable working in‑person in a hybrid environment.
• Relevant experience leading the technical delivery of software, data, AI, analytics, or automation solutions.
• Hands‑on development experience with Python and modern backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django.
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and a frontend framework such as React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, Svelte, or similar.
• Experience integrating generative AI models or services into applications through APIs, cloud services, or open‑source frameworks.
• Experience designing or implementing APIs, application services, data integrations, and secure connections to enterprise data sources.
• Experience developing and deploying solutions within a cloud environment such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or a comparable platform.
• Working knowledge of SQL, databases, data ingestion, data transformation, and data‑quality concepts.
• Experience with software development lifecycle practices, source control, testing, code review, and deployment processes.
• Experience leading technical workstreams and providing guidance to developers or other technical professionals.
• Strong English‑language skills with clear written and spoken communication.
• Ability to prioritize assignments, meet deadlines, and communicate risks or blockers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and improvement of AI‑enabled applications, proofs of concept, prototypes, and reusable components.
• Translate business and technical requirements into feasible solution designs and development tasks.
• Provide hands‑on technical direction for solutions integrating generative AI models, data sources, APIs, and cloud services.
• Guide development of AI‑enabled web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Evaluate technical approaches, frameworks, models, and tools based on client requirements and security considerations.
• Lead transition of proofs of concept into secure, scalable solutions when required by the engagement.
• Establish development standards for source control, testing, documentation, security, deployment, and maintainability.
• Review solution architecture, code, and documentation to promote quality and consistency.
• Coordinate work across developers, data engineers, AI/ML specialists, designers, and other professionals.
• Provide coaching and feedback to Staff and Senior professionals; manage assignments and priorities across workstreams.
