Job summary

World Bank Group in Washington, DC is seeking an Associate Senior AI Solutions Officer to lead technical direction across AI initiatives, review architectures, and mentor teams delivering agentic AI solutions that align with enterprise goals.

The role oversees design of AI agents, orchestration, APIs, and knowledge platforms, establishes reusable patterns, ensures governance and responsible AI, and partners with stakeholders to drive delivery and performance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 8+ years progressively responsible experience (or Bachelor’s with 10+ years).
• Experience leading complex AI or automation initiatives.
• Experience providing technical leadership across multiple projects or teams.
• Experience designing AI-enabled solutions, integrations, and orchestration capabilities.
• Strong mentoring, stakeholder management, and solution architecture skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Sense of Urgency: prioritize effectively, act decisively, and maintain momentum under pressure.
• Change Agent: champion new ways of working and drive constructive change.
• Business Savvy: connect day-to-day decisions to strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction across multiple AI initiatives.
• Review architectures, designs, and implementation approaches.
• Mentor AI Solutions Officers and promote best practices.
• Lead design of AI agents, orchestration solutions, MCP servers, APIs, and knowledge platforms.
• Establish reusable architectures, design patterns, and implementation standards.
• Coordinate delivery of complex AI-enabled business solutions.
• Oversee implementation, operational readiness, and solution performance.
• Drive continuous improvement across AI initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise AI governance, security, and responsible AI requirements.
