Job summary

GEHA, a nonprofit health benefits provider headquartered in Missouri, seeks a Senior AI Solution Architect to define and scale enterprise AI/ML patterns. You will design scalable AI solutions, ensure HIPAA compliance, and partner with IT, security, and data teams to deliver governance-ready patterns.

The role emphasizes building reusable, secure AI platforms, leading rapid PoCs, and shaping the AI developer experience across multi-cloud environments. Remote/hybrid options are available.

Qualifications

• Accredited degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering with progression into architecture or platform responsibilities.
• 3+ years hands-on with AI/ML systems, including LLM integration and RAG architectures.
• Deep familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks and agent interoperability standards.
• Strong knowledge of vector databases and semantic search.
• Experience designing reusable engineering patterns and enterprise-scale templates.
• Multi-cloud fluency across GCP, AWS, and Azure with AI/ML platform services.
• Ability to work with Security, IT Ops, and Compliance on governance-compatible implementations.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise AI reference architecture, including agent patterns and RAG pipelines.
• Lead MCP-based integration strategy and lifecycle standards for AI-connected services.
• Own the architectural blueprint for how AI capabilities are composed, exposed, and operated.
• Design cost-effective LLM integration patterns and optimize compute resources.
• Lead technical evaluations for AI capabilities and integration patterns with third-party tools.
• Shape the AI developer experience with golden paths, CI/CD templates, and evaluation frameworks.
• Establish reusable building blocks to avoid bespoke AI solutions, enabling rapid PoCs.
• Collaborate with cloud, data, security, and compliance teams to govern AI solutions.
