Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Senior AI Software Developer to lead design, development, and modernization of mission-critical microservices in a large Agile/SAFe setting. You will drive APIs, databases, and event-driven services while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to boost reliability and performance.

The role is on-site in Gaithersburg, MD or Egg Harbor Township, NJ, with impact on national air traffic management systems and millions of travelers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• Experience building microservices architectures in Linux with Java/Python/C++.
• Strong APIs, distributed systems, Agile practices, and software engineering standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Agile sprint planning, technical execution, and team collaboration to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications using modern software engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, product owners, DevSecOps, QA, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop and integrate APIs, databases, messaging systems, and event-driven services within distributed environments.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding efficiency, software quality, debugging, testing, and system reliability.
