Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• Experience building microservices architectures in Linux with Java/Python/C++.
• Strong APIs, distributed systems, Agile practices, and software engineering standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Lead Agile sprint planning, technical execution, and team collaboration to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior AI Software Developer to support a company focused on modernizing and advancing national air traffic management systems through next-generation automation, cloud, and AI-enabled technologies. This position is on-site in Gaithersburg, MD or Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The Senior AI Software Developer will serve as a technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and modernizing mission-critical microservices-based software solutions within a large Agile/SAFe environment. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact the reliability and performance of systems supporting millions of air travelers across the United States while leveraging modern AI-assisted development practices.

Responsibilities for the Senior AI Software Developer include:

Compensation for the Senior AI Software Developer include:

Salary Range: $107,900 - $195,050 depending on experience
