Job summary

Lightfield is seeking an experienced engineer to help reimagine CRM through LLM-powered product experiences. You will own projects from inception to impact, building end-to-end AI systems, prompts, and data pipelines to deliver tangible customer value.

You will collaborate across teams, push cutting-edge techniques, and contribute to shaping Lightfield's technical direction while mentoring teammates and expanding the engineering team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience with a tech stack including TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Apollo GraphQL, and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (training, evaluation techniques).
• Passion for LLMs and LLMOps, open-source solutions.
• Ability to drive projects independently in ambiguous domains.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product leaders to identify customer problems and implement LLM-powered solutions.
• Apply LLMs as reasoning engines to build domain-specific AI assistants.
• Create and optimize prompts using few-shot learning and chain-of-thought techniques.
• Develop end-to-end RAG pipelines and agent architectures using data sources.
• Improve AI agent quality through empirical evaluation and iteration.
• Build systems to enable high-velocity experimentation and customized product experiences.
• Stay at the forefront of AI research and incorporate state-of-the-art techniques.
• Shape technical direction and best practices for AI app development at Lightfield.
• Help recruit and mentor teammates to grow a world-class engineering team.
