Job summary

Ally Financial is looking for a software professional to build AI-native platform capabilities on AWS, design event-driven services, and pair with engineers on architecture reviews. You’ll mentor teammates and contribute to AI-assisted SDLC, using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business clients, cross-functional teams, and evolving engineering practices to ship high-quality software faster with AI augmentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, in relevant field(s) of study or equivalent.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with agentic coding tools.
• Production use of Claude Code, OpenCode, Cursor, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted SDLC and related design, testing, and deployment practices.
• Ability to translate business context into AI prompts, user stories and technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-native platform capabilities on AWS and design event-driven services.
• Collaborate with internal engineers on architecture and design reviews.
• Contribute to AI-assisted development patterns and reusable components.
• Explain and justify technical directions to senior management.
• Mentor lower-level developers and guide teams on responsible AI coding tools.
