Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior AI Software Developer to join our government customer located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The role will design and implement software solutions independently while collaborating with systems engineering, product delivery, and DevSecOps teams.

This is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite and 2 days working from home. Core qualifications include a CS degree or equivalent, 8+ years of experience (or 6+ with a Master’s), microservices experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Agile sprint planning with clear deliverables and objective alignment.
• Provide technical leadership and remove roadblocks for the team.
• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers in an Agile/SAFe environment.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and daily standups.
• Translate requirements into working software with systems engineering.
• Develop maintainable code following CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Contribute to system design discussions and technical decisions.
• Integrate services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs.
• Implement automated testing strategies (unit, integration, contract, end-to-end).
